BAND OF THE DAY: ORDER OF THE MESS

Published:

Irish-based, Italian power-rock duo Order of The Mess unleash their new single and video Si-B today on all streaming platforms. The visceral piece of pummelling rock was recorded at the historic Westland Studios (home to records by U2/Hozier/Weezer and more) and is powered by fuzzed-up riffs and urgent, primal drums.

“Si-B is an appeal to leave what looks safe as the only way to be happy” explains singer/guitarist Alex Vinci. “I wanna wake up to make it” is the chorus lyric and motto – we need to wake up and risk things to be happy. Si is the note B in Italian, and the song is in B note – we called it that temporarily when we were writing the song. We liked how it sounded so we kept it! The video was directed by Ikigai Media and shows a girl living in a stunning villa who is spending her entire day preparing herself for an unexpected “sleepwalker run”. We love having strong visuals to accompany our music and make for a more immersive experience.”

The Italian stoner-rock duo formed in 2013 after they both ended up living in Cork, Ireland. With Alex taking care of punishing low frequencies through a triple amp set-up and Max providing thunderous skins work, the duo soon hit upon a distinctively powerful sound and found an audience after embarking on a relentless gigging schedule. Their mix of melody, groove and enormous riffs truly comes to life on stage and the band are already a fixture on the Cork and Dublin gig scenes. Last year they locked themselves in the Westland Studios for a week to record their debut album, which is set to be released in early 2018.
Order of The Mess will be playing live shows this Spring and Summer. For more info, head to orderofthemess.com and find the band at facebook.com/order.of.the.mess.band and @orderofthemess on Twitter now.
