BAND OF THE DAY: PERFECTPARACHUTEPICTURE

Published:

Rising UK Riff rock crew, Perfectparachutepicture, have just dropped their explosive new single, Working Machine – https://youtu.be/eyUUAJGmlL0

Perfectparachutepicture, stylised as PPP, hail from Sheffield and are comprised of bassist Edward James and Kyle Ernest on drums and lead vocals. The pair dispatch brash, grit rock framed by muscularly riffery and poignant lyrics delivered with melodic energy and earnest emotion. The Brit noisemakers take from a slew of areas, but the riffsmiths have a particular kinship with Biffy Clyro, Queens Of the Stone Age and Death From Above 1979.

Ever since their inception, PPP have worked diligently to build their base, and with their stellar reputation for high energy and sonically powerful live performances, word has begun to spread. A captivating main event appearance at this last year’s Tramlines Festival (in Hillsborough Park Sheffield), as well as support slots with Turbowolf, Pulled Apart By Horses, Dinosaur Pile-Up, False Heads, and Darlia, have all added to the band’s rising trajectory. The duo’s latest single, They Only Want – https://youtu.be/1FSSj0F88FU racked up widespread national and international press and radio play, with features in Clash Magazine, Music Crowns, and New Noise Magazine, as well as picking up airplay on Tom Robinson’s BBC Radio 6 Music show. The band also independently released their debut album, No Modern Desire, to a raft of support from the DIY rock scene, and anticipation is now firmly building for the twosome’s new single, Working Machine.

PPP’s new single, Working Machine, is crammed with thunderous drums, stout bass riffs and a carefully crafted chorus. Perfectparachutepicture remark about the track: “‘Working Machine’ is a sucker punch to the senses. It’s a song about being bogged down somewhere that you don’t want to be, and subsequently freeing yourself from that place with a newfound confidence that you never knew you had. It’s a reminder to keep moving, working, and pushing for more.” With further singles and future shows in the pipeline, there is nothing stopping Perfectparachutepicture from continuing their climb.
