Brass Against – a band who in a politically challenging era, are standing up against the system through the power of music. The band are a New York collective of artists all of which share a passion of creating brass protest music with the aim of calling fans to take action.
“Around the time Trump started garnering support, I felt like we needed Rage Against the Machine more than ever,” says leader and curator of the collective – Brad Hammonds. “I wanted to do a show of some sort and something big to make a statement.”
Tipped by Rage Against The Machine themselves, the collective have just played 3 sold out dates in London, Glasgow and Dublin and are now set to support rock legend Lenny Kravitz at the exclusive one off show at London O2 Arena on 11th June 2019.
Brass Against combine rock and edgy hip hop to create their art in which is inspiring and empowering. This has led to the bands videos (which include cover tracks from Rage Against the Machine, Audioslave and Black Sabbath to name a few) have over 11.4m views on YouTube, and a staggering 20.5m views on one video alone (Wake Up – Rage Against The Machine cover on Facebook).
