FERRIS AND SYLVESTER MAKE A FLYING VISIT

Published:

Critically acclaimed duo Ferris & Sylvester have released the video for their new single ‘Flying Visit’.

Filmed in stark black and white, the video captures the pair performing to an empty village hall, interjected with moments of stillness, isolation and loneliness.

The song begins and ends with the simple statement ‘Bend down, come close, I love you’, and travels through a child-like yet somber confession accompanied by guitar, strings and a hammond organ.

Regarding the video Ferris & Sylvester say, We’ve toured this song for so many months and when it came around to making the video, it only felt right to do a performance based piece. Simple and straightforward, in a run-down village hall. We wanted to let the song speak. We teamed up with Sam Parish-Rookes once again for this one and as always with Sam, the process from the storyboard to the final edit has been a total journey and loads of fun. We are so proud to have made a piece like this.”

The release comes ahead of Ferris & Sylvester’s debut appearance at Glastonbury Festival this week, where they are playing a number of shows across the weekend.

After a killer debut at SXSW and a standout Maida Vale session this year, BBC Introducing invited the duo to play their stage at Glastonbury. Ferris & Sylvester’s full Glastonbury schedule can be found below.

Ferris & Sylvester have been going down a storm at festivals this year. They played the Main Stage at Isle Of Wight Festival, and are set to play further festivals across the UK and Europe including Sziget, Boardmasters, Belladrum and many more.

The band recently announced their largest headline tour yet, where they will play bigger venues across more towns and cities than their sold out debut tour back in February. The 20-date UK & Ireland tour runs throughout September and October with the full dates listed below.
