It’s Like This

On February 9th, symphonic metal pioneers THERION will finally release their three-hour-long opera project Beloved Antichrist.

After unveiling the opera’s plot, characters and how it differs to the Russian novel that it is loosely based upon, band leader Christofer Johnsson now discusses the intense writing process of this massive composition and what he always liked – but also disliked – about classical operas and modern musicals.

THERION are currently working on the possibility of bringing the entire production to the stage – and while this monumental undertaking still simmers away in the production halls, the band has announced a pan-European tour taking them to 25 different countries, where they will perform some new and some classic THERION hits.
