BLACK SKY RESEARCH released their debut single ‘Light up the Sky’ on Saturday 28th March 2020. Formed in 2019, the group is fronted by former MALLORY KNOX vocalist Mikey Chapman. Mikey led MALLORY KNOX through a hugely successful career that saw them become one of the brightest stars in the UK music scene, with three top 40 albums (Signals #33, Asymmetry #16 and Wired #18), appearances at some of the most prestigious festivals including Download, Reading & Leeds and Slam Dunk, gracing multiple magazine covers and Radio Playlists.
Now he has teamed up with songwriter and guitarist Luke Hicks to bring BLACK SKY RESEARCH with a 5-track EP scheduled for release in this summer.
The single is an explosive rock number that incorporates influences from act such as A Perfect Circle and Fightstar. Set in an apocalyptic scene in London, the single serves as a teaser for the EP, in which the songs follow the events of a night in chronological order, telling a tale of chaos and destruction.
