Stoner rock is taken on a journey
Reading based sludge masters, MORASS OF MOLASSES, have unveiled details of their upcoming debut release and accompanying April tour.
So Flows Our Fate is the realisation of over a year’s hard work; a forging of heavy, swampy blues and delicate haunting melodies. The record features artwork from Dominic Sohor (Raging Speedhorn, Orange Goblin).
The band commented: “This is stoner rock for those looking to be taken on a journey. Each song is an exploration of historical disaster, written from a first-person point of view.”
So Flows Our Fate is set to be released on April 18, available via iTunes and Spotify. CD copies will be available during the tour, from April 2.
MORASS OF MOLASSES create the kind of lumbering, swampy riffs that induce involuntary head-nodding and a deep, dark, groove appreciation. Curators of ‘The Swamp’ – a monthly stoner/sludge/doom gig night in Reading – the band find themselves at the centre of all things hard and heavy in the scene, effortlessly establishing themselves as a force to be reckoned with.
Having already shared a stage with the likes of Desert Storm, Serpent Venom, Space Witch, XII Boar, Sea Bastard, Mother Corona and Limb, MORASS OF MOLASSES are set to embark on an April tour to celebrate the release of So Flows Our Fate. Dates are as follows:
2/4 – The Star, Guildford
