MV TRACK PREMIERE: JUSTIN ADAMS – ENDLESS OCEAN

Published:

Justin Adams has record a lament for lockdown entitled Endless Ocean.

Released on April 24th via Good Deeds Music, you can watch the video above.

Best known for his work for Robert Plant, Justin explains the motivation behind the single.

“During that extraordinary week as we moved into lockdown , and day by day saw the normal foundations of our daily life crumble , I fell into a mood of questioning . The song came into my head and I recorded it as quickly and simply as I could in my little garage home studio. It didn’t seem to need any of my normal musical elements that I would usually add.

My son Joe was just home from art college . It was slowly sinking in on him that he wouldn’t be going back to his friends and his studies for some time . He is a student filmmaker and dancer/choreographer , who listens to Burial, MIA and many names I’ve never heard of! He came up to my studio , heard the track and convinced me to leave it sparse , and added the spoken word outro.”

The song is Justin’s personal reaction to what was going on for his son but also Justin’s own reaction to the crisis. With the over riding message being Stay safe.

Best known as guitarist and co- writer with Robert Plant in his Sensational Space Shifters, Justin Adams has written and recorded with Jah Wobble , Sinead O’Connor as well as making solo albums Desert Road and Ribbons, both acknowledged as World Music classics.

As a producer, his milestone albums with Tinariwen and Rachid Taha stand out, while his series of album on Real World records with Gambian master musician Juldeh Camara were recognised as definitive raw Afro- Blues statements.
