They’ve Got It Infamy – Again

First released 18 years ago, this lost death metal classic gets the re-release treatment

After many years of absence from the market Terror from Hell Records finally reprints on CD – and for the first time on LP – the first and only album by Infamy with a different artwork and a polished sound.

Originally released on Quabalah Records in 1997, The Blood Shall Flow still remains an underground death metal cult album. Infamy was formed in the early 90s by the ashes of Entety, a band devoted to Carcass-style goregrind.

After a demo in ’95 The Blood Shall Flow was recorded. Clearly influenced by the sound of bands such as Possessed and Sadistic Intent, the album sells rather well, especially in Europe; but at the beginning of a European tour in March 1998 the band’s founder, bass player and singer Joshua “Jagger” Heatley died. The band was forced to stop.

The hiatus will continue until 2001 when they enter the studio to record three new songs and some covers by Morbid Angel and Slayer. However, conflicting schedules among band members leave less space to Infamy and we’ll hardly ever see them on tour again. But never say never.
