BAND OF THE DAY: SAY YES, DO NOTHING

Published:

London Yank rock: Say Yes, Do Nothing (SYDN) are a four-piece guitar-driven original rock band from north London.

Winners of the 2018 Future Music Showcase Award, SYDN songs are gritty and poetic street reports on personal experiences with homelessness, abortion, abuse and alcoholism.

Members Dave (vocals/guitar), Simon (bass/vocals), Michael (drums) and Dan (lead guitar/vocals) met in Kentish Town in 2018.  Singer/songwriter Dave hails from the USA, where his previous band’s album was named the Los Angeles DIY Album of the Year (‘Apron Strings’ by Breech) and featured on the popular ‘Dawson’s Creek’ TV show. Dave now draws inspiration from splitting his time between the band and managing medical relief in the world’s worst war zones.

SYDN has headlined around London, playing gigs at 93 Feet East, The Spice of Life, Hope & Anchor, The Water Rats, The Fiddlers Elbow, The Rocksteady, Floripa and the Marlow Rock Bottom Festival.

SYDN is grateful to have been featured on Zever Blackbull’s Top 40 Indie Music Chart, Lonely Oak Radio’s Featured Artists, HOT VOX’s One To Watch, FV Music Blog, John’s Indie Music Zone, The Retweeter’s Bands to Watch and MerchTablePro Discovery list. SYDN is also heard on radio shows and podcasts including New Scotland Radio, Cowboy Joe Radio, Bigtime Radio, The Colorado Phil Show, Angel’s Indie Lounge and Expand Your Playlist. SYDN has released their first video, ‘Making it Die’, with Neon Temple productions.
