BAND OF THE DAY: THE MOJO SLIDE

Published:

Don’t Panic – it’s just a new single and album from The Mojo Slide.
Cambridgeshire-based 5 piece, The Mojo Slide, have spent the last few years working on their latest masterpiece, but they’re back now and they’re bringing the good times with them!
Their last album, Twist Your Bones, spawned singles that were played on stations worldwide, including Planet Rock, Absolute Radio and the BBC. They have also released acoustic and covers EPs and gigged far and wide.
The new album is coming on 4th September 2020, ‘Manic Panic‘ is an album for the times. Blending rock genres into something which can only be described as ‘filthy blues rock n roll’, this second album from the band is one which deserves to be played LOUD.

Lead single ‘Good Times’ may call for the sun to last forever, but this record contains as much darkness as light. It is rock.
The band say “Good Times is really about anxiety and depression and common feelings many of us go through when facing difficult times. But the main theme is despite the bad times there are still good times to look forward to, giving us a reason to carry on”!
The Mojo Slide are; Mark Wilks (Lead Singer), Mike Fenna (Lead Guitar), Matt Legg (Rhythm Guitar), Dan Savage (Bass), Michael Graham (Drums).
Chris Straw from Bauer Radio says: “This is real quality, the verse is as hooky as the chorus. Just seems to have all the right key changes in the right places, so many tracks don’t. A rousing anthem to ensure a good summer no matter what the weather throws up”.
